What'z the Buzz - Addiction Support

What'z the Buzz is a 16-week open motivational group for young pregnant women and young moms (up to age 24) who are working to overcome addiction and substance abuse issues.  Women in this group are trying to reduce or stop their use of substances.

This is a supportive and structured setting where you can explore issues related to your use of drugs or alcohol and learn more about the effects on yourself, your children, partner, or family.

What'z the Buzz is offered once a week for 2 hours. The maximum number in the group is 8, with 6 spaces available for pregnant women and 2 for young moms. You will be required to miss no more than 3 sessions.

Clients must meet with the Early Childhood Development Project Outreach Worker for an intake assessment before the group begins. This group is offered through the Journey Together: Honouring Me & Honouring My Children Program, sponsored by Rideauwood Addiction & Family Services.
