RUN FOR TEEN MOMS
Dear colleagues and friends,
I am absolutely delighted to report the tremendous success with my fundraising!
On May 24th, I ran the Ottawa Half Marathon along with 10 000 runners. It was a beautiful hot Sunday morning and a lot of fun. I ran the course in 2 hrs 12 minutes. I was quite happy with my training and results.
Thanks to the tremendous support from so many of you, I raised approximately $9000.00 for the Obstetrics Clinic at St Mary's Home! I am overwhelmed by everyone's generosity. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you so much... I have gladly matched the first $5000.00 as promised.
These funds have allowed us to purchase some of the medical equipment and furniture necessary to make this clinic operational. We are very pleased to be moving into this new clinic by the end of June. We will continue looking for other fundraising opportunities to obtain the rest of the equipment.
