Graduation Day !
 |
Many young women using the services of the Young Parent Outreach Centre are able to successfully achieve their dream of earning a high school diploma.
If you are pregnant and participating in programs at the Outreach Centre, you have an opportunity to earn school credits at your own pace at the Ottawa Catholic School Board’s Immaculata Achievement Center Classroom – located within St. Mary's Home.
Here you can learn in an atmosphere of mutual respect and caring among students, teacher and volunteers. The classes are set up to accommodate your needs as a young pregnant woman or new mom and to give you the flexibility to attend other scheduled programs.
You can work out a classroom program - the credits and courses that will work for you – in co-operation with the Immaculata classroom teacher.
As a young mother, you can stay registered with the school for about six months after your baby is born while working on your parenting programs.
Scholarships exist to help students who want to pursue post-secondary education.
