2009 GRADUATION !

The 10th Anniversary Graduation of the Immaculata Achievement Center Classroom at St. Mary's Home was held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, celebrating the success of 12 young moms-to-be in attaining their High School Diploma! CONGRATULATIONS!

RUN FOR TEEN MOMS:

On May 24th, Dr. Nathalie Fleming ran the Ottawa Half-Marathon in support of the Teen Obstetrics Clinic.

75th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS!

St. Mary's Home has been celebrating 75 years of service to the Easten Ontario community from May 2008 to May 2009.

The Board of Directors is hosting a 75th Anniversary Thank You Breakfast for Staff on May 12, 2009. This will conclude our Anniversary year.

Other 75th Anniversary events have included:

A 75th Anniversary Thank You for our Volunteers was held on April 21st.

A 75th Anniversary Tea was held on October 1st in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting of St. Mary's Home. We were delighted to express special appreciation to more than 25 Direct Service Partners* who are involved in providing services and programs within the St. Mary's Home Young Parent Outreach Centre. *Please see our Partnership list elsewhere on this website!The evening also featured our Display of Archives from the last 75 years of service delivery in Ottawa.
The 75th Anniversary FAMILY FUN DAY was held on Wednesday, July 9th, for young parent families who attend programs across the Young Parent Support Network. Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Magic Show, Fun for all! BBQ lunch. This was a special 75th Anniversary event for St. Mary's Home.
Our 75th Anniversary Launch Event on May 14th, 2008 highlighted our Display of Archives, a program of memories, history and visioning, and a thank you to our Primary Supporters and Funders. The event concluded the planting of A Tree of Hope for St. Mary's Home.

MINISTER'S VISIT:

The Honourable Deb Matthews, Minister of Children and Youth Services, visited St. Mary's Home on March 6, 2008. This was a wonderful opportunity of sharing our strengths and our concerns.
