Who uses the Centre?

The Young Parent Outreach Centre provides services to young pregnant women and young moms and dads  -  of all cultures and religions  - up to age 24. More than half those using the services are teens - between the ages of 13 and 17.

Most of the young pregnant women and young moms and dads are living in the community.  The Centre also helps the young moms and their babies who are living in the St. Mary's Home residence. It also provides continuing, follow-up services for young mothers after they leave the residence. 

In 2006-07 the Young Parent Outreach Centre worked with 312 young pregnant women and young moms and dads, and 254 children under age 3.
