Prenatal Classes

At our Prenatal Classes, you will learn how you can take care of yourself to stay healthy during your pregnancy. You will also learn about what to expect when you give birth and about taking care of your newborn.  We recommend that your partner or support person that will be with you when you give birth, attend with you. 

This 8-week program is available in English or French.  A public health nurse from the City of Ottawa gives the class once a week at the Young Parent Outreach Centre.  

To register for Prenatal Classes, call the City of Ottawa Public Health Information Line at (613) 580-6744 Ext. 28020 and ask for young single parent prenatal classes.  The best time to register is as soon as you know you are pregnant.
